I’d say they are sad because of the number of friends or lovers they have seen die since the 80’s, but taking that into consideration, how would you feel if someone you knew gay or not had died of Cancer and not just one of your friends but many. Gay people are no different when it comes to death than a straight person. We all suffer when someone we know dies. One would think that you would realize that.
