How are funds collected from the EMS Levy spent?
100% of the funds collected from the EMS Levy are returned to the community directly to support regional EMS. The funds are routed to the Key Peninsula Fire Department to pay for the high costs of advanced medical equipment such as defibrillators, cardiac monitors, purchase and maintenance of ambulances, and ongoing training and re-supply of medical supplies and funding of the EMS Levy Program.
