How are full-time, part-time and temporary jobs reported?
The estimate of the number of jobs required by the Recovery Act should be expressed as “full-time equivalents” (FTE), which is calculated as total hours worked (including overtime) in jobs created or retained divided by the number of hours in a full-time schedule, as defined by the sub-recipient. Paid time off (vacation, sick, personal, holidays, etc.) should be included in this calculation, but only if the employee is paid for those hours. Cumulative FTE estimates must be reported each calendar quarter. This calculation will be performed by the CSFS based on timesheets submitted each month by the sub-recipients.
