How are Facet Joint Injections Performed?
The pain you are experiencing may be caused by a problem with your facet joints, which are small, paired joints along the length of the entire spinal column. They are not generally regarded as weight bearing joints but help to facilitate spine motion. If so, a facet joint injection may help. Medications (anesthetic and steroid) are injected into one or more facet joint, which may relieve your pain.
