How are essential oils different than herbs?
Young Living essential oils are far more potent than either dried or fresh herbs, so they must be used in small amounts and mindfully applied. When you think about the fact that it takes about 2,000 pounds of fresh Cypress material to produce 1 pound of Cypress essential oil you can begin to imagine just how concentrated an essential oil is compared to it’s dried or fresh plant counterpart. You can also begin to understand the value in having plant material that is free of chemicals. A dried herb is far less potent than an essential oil.
