How are educational programs provided in Florida?
The states 67 county-based school districts provide educational programs for children from prekindergarten through high school. School districts also provide academic and career education for adults. The Florida Department of Educations role is to provide overall coordination and technical assistance to school districts upon request, develop student performance standards for adoption by the State Board of Education, and report on the results of instructional programs.
