How are DNA samples analysed if required?

To analyse the stored DNA, we are able to take a small portion of the paper and amplify the DNA over specific region(s) using well documented and controlled in-house procedures. These amplified regions of DNA can then be studied in more detail to identify changes that predispose to a particular genetic disorder as part of our Genecheck service or indeed to study biological relationships between individuals as part of our dadcheck® service.
