In diverse ways! There is certainly a wide variety of interpretations of what this means, what is acceptable, and how this should be dealt with, between cultures. Many western organisations get into difficulties when they trade globally because they simply assume that their views will hold everywhere and that they don’t need to express them – there is no problem with deciding that you will only engage under your own terms if that’s what you want, but don’t just expect other people to know what those are! The important thing is to discuss these with business partners etc so that everyone is clear.
