Corinne Alfeld: Well it’s very challenging. A lot of places find this very challenging. But where they’ve been able to do it well is when the career-technical education courses are also taught at the same location as the academic courses. If they’re separate in a vocational center, it’s very hard for teachers to find time to get together to do any kind of curriculum integration. Kim Green: And I would just add that as I’ve visited some schools, I do think that limiting it to just having those conversations in the school day presents somewhat of a challenge. There have been some places that I’ve been to, shared time centers in particular, that, as Corinne pointed out, it’s almost impossible to be able to do it in the school day because people are located in different settings.
