How are distance learning courses taught?
The main course content is delivered as a Computer-Based Training (CBT) package, this will either be packed on a CD-ROM with any other artifacts the student will need, or as a download. This ensures that much of the work can be done without needing to connect to the internet. Courses are supported with a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) which gives full on-line support using email, bulletin boards, etc. Further information about the design of the CBT packages and how courses are taught can be found here.
