How are different Heirloom Tomato Varieties made?
Heirloom tomatoes are tomato varieties that have been grown by home gardeners for generations, saving seeds to plant the next year. There aren’t any *new* heirloom varieties, meaning you can’t create them, they’re all *old* varieties. When you see what seems to be a new heirloom, somebody just started growing enough of an old variety to be able to market it.
