Customers of Anglo Irish Bank receive protection through the Irish Deposit Protection Scheme up to a limit of €100,000 per individual depositor. In addition, the Irish Government announced on 30 September 2008 that it has decided to guarantee all the deposits, without limitation, held by six named Irish credit institutions, including Anglo Irish Bank. This means that all deposits with Anglo Irish Bank in the UK are now guaranteed in full by the Irish Government. This guarantee is in place until 28 September 2010. Anglo Irish Bank is authorised by the Financial Regulator in Ireland and is subject to limited regulation by the Financial Services Authority in the UK. Details on the extent of our regulation by the Financial Services Authority are available from us on request.
