How are decisions made regarding the filled positions to be eliminated?
First, all temporary/PRN positions are eliminated. Second, all term positions are eliminated. Third, positions with staff currently on written or final performance improvement counseling (PIC) are eliminated. Fourth, the policy allows you to use “performance” as the next factor ONLY if everyone in the cost center in the job code have at least two years of recent performance evaluations. Finally, all remaining staff in reverse order of seniority (by hire date with part-time being prorated).
