If there was a will by the deceased, the probated executor will receive Letters of Testamentary. Have the executor complete claimants statement on behalf of the estate and submit it to the claims department with a copy of the Letters of Testamentary. If there is no will, a family member or other individual should apply for Administration of Estate. The court will give letters of administration to the Administrator of the estate and the same procedure as above should be followed.
