All currency is traded in LOTS. Each lot consists of a different amount of currency. Currencies can be traded on an off-exchange or over the counter currency exchange also known as the FOREX market. The FOREX market does not have a physical “exchange” or location where currencies are traded. A system of electronic trading networks or platforms and telephone transactions account for trades conducted in currencies on the FOREX market.
