How are credits for time served in California jails calculated??

The legally mandated conduct credits for time spent in County Jail do not vary from county to county, as they are required by State law: Penal Code section 2933. If she does not violate the rules, nor refuse to perform assigned work, then she will earn 2 days additional credit for every 4 days served. On a 180-day sentence this means conduct credits of 60 days, leaving 120 to serve. Further reductions may occur in some counties due to jail overcrowding and constitutional limitations upon the number of people being held in the jail. I am not familiar with any such reductions occuring in San Diego County, but somebody local might have more information on that. At any rate, it will not be more than 120 days.
