How are controlled medications disposed of?
The disposal of controlled medication is to be carried out by two parties, both of whom need to be authorized to administer medication. One party is to dispose of the medication and the second party shall witness the disposal. Documentation acknowledging the disposal is to be completed and signed by both parties.
