How Are Comic Books Created?
Comics are a collaborative effort. A writer prepares the script before sending it out to a layout artist. After that an inker makes the artwork polished and permanent. Then a colorist scans and colors the pages before a letterer adds the word bubbles. Each steps starts and ends with an editor.The editorThe editor first approves the ideas a writer has for a comic. He assigns the writer to create a script and later assembles the team that will produce that script into a full comic. The editor also approves each step in the process as it is completed.ScriptingThe writer takes the ideas that have been approved for the comic and writes a script.
