How are clients referred to Redwood?
Children and adults are referred to Redwood in different ways. Our clients come from all over the Northern Kentucky-Greater Cincinnati community. Adult clients are generally taken off the Northern Kentucky waiting list and usually screened to determine appropriate services prior to high school graduation. Case managers may refer adults who have graduated prior to seeking services and their names are placed on the waiting list at that time. Children are referred to Redwood in numerous ways: by other childcare centers that recognize a particular need that they are not equipped to work with, through the First Steps Early Intervention program/process, by pediatricians that suspect a special need, through Children’s Hospital, and of course word of mouth.
