How are Chiropractors trained and educated?
Most Americans are unaware that today’s doctor or Chiropractic undergoes an intense education process that is similar to medical doctors over the first two years of schooling. Chiropractic students as medical, are solidly educated in Anatomy, physiology, neurology and other medical basic sciences. The main difference is that for the first two years, medical students have a heavy emphasis on pharmacology, while chiropractic student emphasize nutrition, exercise, and healthy lifestyle changes as a natural alternative to drugs. The last 2 years of training for chiropractic focus on learning the tools of the trade: manual and physical methods of treatment. Chiropractic students must them pass the National and State board exams to become board certified and licensed.
