All students in FASD must have a Home Language Survey in their cumulative folder. When at least one of the three main questions is answered with English, then the student’s English language proficiency will be assessed. A student will then be placed in the ELA program based on the results of the standardized test. The child’s classroom teacher may also recommend a child for language proficiency testing.
