Chances are very, very slim that you’ll save the drywall, if they’re glued, no way, if it’s the normal mortar under most tiles, you MIGHT be able to get them off but then you’ll have bumby mortar that you can’t get rid of anyway, not to mention it would be tedious and take FOREVER to get the tiles off 1 by 1 in order to not touch the drywall so to save time, you might as well just rip everything down and put up new drywall, it’s relatively cheap and not that expensive and will look better as a whole.
