Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu (combat body skills), is one of the few surviving complete martial arts. Undiluted by an emphasis on tournaments, sport technique, or artificial rules, it teaches shinkengata – actual combat consciousness. Many schools focus on the competitive aspects of sport martial arts and can be readily identified by their trophy displays. The Bujinkan Dojo system does not chase after trophies. The purpose of this art is to protect the sanctity of life and overcoming our greatest enemy–our own selfish ego that wants to sit on the throne of consciousness.
