How are building contractors selected for P21 projects?
The Department is selecting builders from the Government’s Construction Supplier Register. This is a register of contractors qualified to tender for building projects of certain values. Registered contractors were invited to express an interest in working on P21 projects in geographic areas across the State. The Department developed tender packages to match contractors with projects in their region, taking into account contractor capacity, geography and the template type. Contractors were invited to tender for projects in their nominated areas, and within the value range for which they are approved. Following an evaluation of tenders, the Department is engaging contractors to build specific P21 projects.
