How are borrowers notified when their flood zone status changes due to remapping?
When a map change occurs, we send all borrower notifications directly to the lender or their third party partners either as an electronic or hard copy document. Lenders may choose to use these notifications to inform borrowers of any map changes that impact the flood zone status of their property. A summary report of the affected loans is also sent along with the notices. We can even arrange for changes to be automatically uploaded into the lenders servicing system through a batch process.
