How are biosolids regulated in Australia?
Biosolids are usually regulated by the state Environment Protection Authority (EPA) or equivalent (see Guidelines), using the states guidelines or adopting other state or national guidelines. The primary objective of the guidelines is to maximise the sustainable use of biosolids by documenting good practice for matching biosolids quality with end-use activities and minimising any associated risks.
