How are bibliometrics going to be compared to RAE results, and what if the results are different?
We would not expect bibliometric analysis to produce identical results to the RAE. However, we will want to investigate and understand the reasons for any substantive differences, initially through the pilot exercise next year. Our main concern is that the new system is seen as robust and produces results in which the sector will have confidence.
