How are Backlight Images™ created?

0

Backlight Images™ is a patented product developed and manufactured exclusively by the R. D. Wing Co., Inc., Kirkland, WA (toll free 1-877-988-8400). Since it is Patented, the specific processing information is not available. However, we can say it is a 3-Dimensional photo or graphical imaging process manufactured exclusively from ¼” thick translucent DuPont™ Corian® Solid Surface. Utilizing images provided by the customer, we recreate the image as a relief into the Corian® and when the Corian® is illuminated from behind, the image suddenly appears. Since there are 256 shades of grey, the image appears as the back light highlights the grey scale of the image.
