How are All Stars Players & Managers Selected?
The All Star selection process depends heavily on the manager & coaches. Toward the end of the season, all the coaches of a particular division (Minors AAA, Majors, Juniors, Seniors & Big League) come together and discuss the qualities of the players they have coached. After every team has brought their candidates to the attention of the other coaches, a vote is taken to select the team. Alternates are also selected along with the manager of the All Star team. The All Star Manager calls the players to congratulate them. The manager also checks on the player’s interest and availability. If a player cannot participate for any reason, the manager will contact an alternate to complete the team.
