How are Adams-Columbia Community Fund monies used?
Adams-Columbia Community Fund monies are used for local projects and charities only within Adams-Columbia’s service area. Examples are: emergency assistance following natural disasters, youth programs, civic projects and more. In establishing this program, certain requirements and bylaws were adopted. Funds cannot be used for political purposes or to reimburse the Cooperative for any expenses or unpaid energy usage. All funds are maintained separate from Adams-Columbia’s operating finances. A representative committee of cooperative members oversees the program. These 11 people, one from each ACEC membership district, meet quarterly to determine how funds can best be used for the benefit of individuals and community projects.
