How are ACE continuing education credits (CECs) determined?

CEC value corresponds to the approximate amount of time (in hours) spent participating in an organized continuing education experience under qualified instruction. This does NOT include breaks or lunch associated with live programs (workshops, conferences, etc). One contact hour equals 0.1 CEC. ACE does not award partial credit (for 30 minutes) unless it is part of a conference (see “Calculating Conference CECs below). Calculating Workshops and Webinars: • 1 hour = 0.1 CEC • 2 hours = 0.2 CECs • And so on… Calculating Conference CECs: CEC values for individual sessions are assigned in full hour (0.1 CEC) and half hour (0.05 CEC) increments as follows: • 50 minutes to 1 hour and 25 minutes = 0.1 CEC • 1 hour and 30 minutes = 0.15 CECs • 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours and 25 minutes = 0.2 CECs • And so on… The conference maximum CEC value is rounded to the maximum number of full education hours that can be completed.
