How appropriate is the districts current level of administrative staffing? Would you support an independent efficiency study of the staffing?
I do not believe in consultants. Consultant is a dirty word to me. I do however believe that a complete review should be done of the staff efficiencies. Here is evidence of that. Further, there are 5,802 Registered Volunteers donated more than 171,000 hours of service to our schools in 2006 – 2007. At this time the job descriptions for the support personnel have not been located by our campaign. With an almost equal ratio of support staff to teachers, it would appear as if there may be room for reductions. The ratio of Employees and teachers to administrators is 36 to 1.
