How appropriate is the districts current level of administrative staffing? Would you support an independent efficiency study of the staffing?
I do not believe in consultants. Consultant is a dirty word to me. I do however believe that a complete review should be done of the staff efficiencies. Here is evidence of that. Here is a list of personnel for the District.: 1,267 instructional personnel (Teachers) 67 site and district administrators 883 support staff 288 part-time employees Source: Florida Department of Education Elementary- Secondary 2006-2007 Staff Survey 3 (EEO-5), March 7, 2007 If you include the part-time employees with the support staff, it equates to .92 or almost one support staff per teacher. Further, there are 5,802 Registered Volunteers donated more than 171,000 hours of service to our schools in 2006 – 2007. At this time the job descriptions for the support personnel have not been located by our campaign.
