How applicable are caseflow management principles in courts outside the United States?
Court improvement efforts around the world demonstrate that caseflow management principles are every bit as helpful in other countries as they are in the United States. This is clearly the case for the courts of Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia, which share the common-law tradition from which the American court process derives. And while courts in civil-law countries may give less emphasis than U.S. courts to jury trials, it is clear that court control of case progress is critical.
