For the promotion of entrepreneurship among the minority communities the Minorities Welfare Department of Andhra Pradesh has pioneered and integrated approach. As per its new initiatives. Potential entrepreneurs among the minority communities would not only be identified and trained, but will be extended all the ‘escort services’ required by them at various stages, to implement their ventures. A significant aspect of the State Government’s new approach is the association of an expert agency to identify potential entrepreneurs, belonging to the minority communities, identify viable projects, help the candidates select a suitable project, liaise with banks and help secure loan, assist in procuring machinery and installing machinery and equipment, and monitor the progress of the candidates till their ventures commence commercial operation. The programme thus aims at developing first generation entrepreneurs and help them implement their ventures by providing timely and effective follow-up
