How and where would my high school student graduate? Is there a graduation ceremony?
Correspondence students are welcome to come to Glennallen to participate in the local high school graduation ceremony. If this is an option for you, you need to notify us by January so we can do the proper planning. If you are interested in participating in the ceremony at your local high school, you need to contact the principal at that school and have them contact us. The cap, gown, and graduation announcements may be ordered through the high school where the student will participate in the graduation ceremony. How does my student take exams for college entrance and placement? Students who are juniors or seniors should contact the guidance counselor (preferably before September 30th or as soon as feasible) at 907-822-5286 to schedule college testing. Correspondence Study students are tested at the same time other district students take exams. College placement tests that students usually take are: PSAT, SAT, and ACT. Check with the district guidance counselor as to the tests required
