How and where did Ehret die?
He died leaving his lecture on the Mucusless Diet Healing System in Los Angeles, California about 11 PM on October 10, 1922 although his death certificate says October loth . He was 56 years old. According to Fred Hirsch, his associate who was with Ehret when he died, Ehret was in excellent health. He died by slipping and falling backward causing a basal fracture which caused instant death. The night was dark, misty and the smooth curb was damp. He could have been distracted talking to a woman who had attended the lecture. Fred did not know the woman. Fred Hirsch is listed on Ehret’s death certificate as informant. Fred died in 1979.
