How and when will EPA request that water systems take water quality parameter samples?
Water quality parameters are only required for microbial contaminants. They will be taken at the same time and place as the microbial contaminants; i.e., at 3 points in the distribution system for each of 6 months during the year. This means there will only be 300 (180 small and 120 large) randomly selected PWS which will take water quality parameter samples in 2003.
