How and when was greek food introduced to england ?
Greeks have been in England for about 450 years, when the Turks were rulling their country. Greek food has a long tradition but as far as the introduction of the food here I would think since the first Greek restraunt opened here which I had some relative or other who had a restraunt in Wales which he opened in the 1940’s until about 1960. It is hard to say exactly as to when any food was actually introduced to England. The Romans were here for some 500/600 years but we had our own cuisine and not Italian until it was introduced. Food is a fad each country has its own but at some stage other food will be introduced and variations made.
