A random sample of email addresses has been drawn from the Libraries student and staff databases representing 4,000 undergraduate students, 1500 graduate students, and up to 1200 faculty members. On March 1, 2010, these 6,700 individuals will receive a pre-survey email message from Karen Adams, Director of Libraries, advising them that they will receive a web-based “Library Service Quality Survey,” and encouraging them to complete it. Seven days later, on Monday March 8, these individuals will receive another email from the Director, with an embedded URL for the actual survey. Automatic reminder notices will be sent on March 15, March 22, and March 29. The data for all participating institutions will be collected on secure servers located in the Texas A&M Library. Each response will be disaggregated as it reaches the server, and survey results will ultimately be reported back to the participating institutions as aggregate mean score data.
