How and when do services from McAfee® Security automatically check for updates?
McAfee® SecurityCenter checks for updates every four hours. If your computer is not connected to the Internet when it checks for an update, it will try again every 15 minutes until you’re connected. If an update is available and your computer is connected to the Internet, you maybe prompted to update through a pop-up window. Click “Update Now” to download and install the update.
