How and on what brake components is Sil-Glyde® Brake Lubricant meant to be used?
This lubricant is used anywhere within the entire braking system to help eliminate squeaking caused by metal to metal contact, and also to keep rubber parts soft and pliant. Caliper bolts, slides, boots, and pistons all benefit from this product. This product is used on drum brakes on the pads, where the shoes contact the backing plate, where the springs contact the shoes and pivot point, on the self adjusting cam, and anywhere else that there is potential metal to metal contact.
