How accurately can the Moog motor control position?
Position accuracy is a function of the design of the entire servo system (controls, feedback, motor, frame, load, coupling(s) and etc). The motor is only one of many components in a servo positioning system and as such does not have an accuracy associated with it. With a good control system, a highly accurate feedback device, a very stiff frame and a very stiff load, Moog has observed accuracies of better than .0001 inch in our lab.
