How Accurate is the Weatherman?

Sometimes, it may seem more accurate to rely not on the weather man, but instead on your own eyes, body, and if you’re like me – your hair alerting you to the weather forecast. Granted, it is not the weatherman’s fault that sometimes their forecasts are wrong; the weather can change in a few moments based on the atmosphere and other influences. They make their best educated guess and that is all they can do, but some of us rely way too much on what they say and plan our lives around it more than we should. Before we get into the accuracy of weather forecasts, it is important to note the techniques modern meteorologists use to formulate the forecast: satellite imagery, radar, surface observations, and upper air observations. Using complex equations, our weathermen are able to detect, with some accuracy, the air pressure, humidity, wind speed, and temperature among oth
