How accurate is the hi-res terrain data?

0

The hi-res data is derived from the SRTM 3-arc-second elevation files. This data was taken by the space shuttle several years ago, and covers the world from 60 degrees South to 60 degrees North latitude. We’ve just acquired a new global data set (ASTER-GDEM), which will be made available for a nominal cost to current customers.
