How accurate is an ultrasound at 9 weeks?
There is a big difference between a 9 wk and a 13 wk fetus. It would be extremely hard to mix them up. We had a scan @ 9 wks, we saw the heads, bellies, stubs for arms and legs, not much else. The scan @ 13 wks showed much more, heads, arms, fingers, legs, feet,- one was even laying with it’s arms behind his head, legs kicked up and crossed, like he/she was just chilling (I swear, it’s so cute). The other was waving his/her hand and looked as is he/she was sucking the thumb (I’m not sure if they do that at 13 wks, but it looked like it). Measurements at both scans were right on target for those time frames. Your next scan will be just as accurate, but you can absolutely mention it at the appointment, just for reassurance. 15 weeks is the normal for feeling movements. It does seem to be felt at different times for everyone. It has alot to do with how thin you were before getting pregnant and how much weight you have gained.
