How accurate are the Long Beach Dive underwater GPS products ?

0

The accuracy of all Long Beach Dive Underwater Diver Navigation products is dependent on several factors including but not limited to those discussed in FAQ #7 above, as well as an additional level of error caused by the off-set between the GPS antenna (located on the surface of the water) and the GPS receiver (attached to the diver). The depth of the dive and the strength and direction of the tide will determine the offset between the antenna and receiver. As an example, if the GPS receiver you are using is currently accurate to 9 feet and the offset between the antenna and receiver is 6 feet, then the accuracy will approximately be somewhere within the total of the two, or 15 feet.
