How accurate are polygraph tests for proving past infidelity?

0

Polygraph tests are usually used to find criminals. Polygraph is an instrument which measures the blood pressure, pulse, strength of respiration etc. If a policeman question a criminal and if he lies his pulse may change. From this the policeman can identify whether he is a criminal. But if the criminal already prepared for lying and he is confident this pulse may not be change. Also its efficiency depends on the person who question the criminal. In short it is effective. But is not 100%.There is no better way to prove this. If you want to test a person you should never say to him or her that he or she will be undergone for test. The test should be uexpected. I am saying that you can identify past infidelity, more than 90% if the tester is efficient.
