How accurate are ear thermometers?

0

According to Consumer Reports they’re usually not as accurate as other oral type thermometers, digital or mercury. If you need to know if you have a fever or not the difference in a half degree or so won’t matter. They are quick and easy to use. Above 104 would generally be a good reason to go to the ER or doctor’s office.
