How accurate are Customised Antenatal Growth Charts?

Not at all accurate. My GP used to sigh every time she measured me because she thought it was a waste of time, but she was obliged to do it. With both of my pregnancies I measured up very small. My babies were small, but not nearly as small as the measurements suggested. They were 5 pounds 12 and 6 pounds 6. If you measure up small you may well find that you are under pressure to have additional scans. Stand firm if you don’t want them. Some women have stronger abdominal muscles than others, which gives them lower fundal height measurements. Then there are variables such as which way their babies lie in the womb and how much fluid there is. If the measurements bother you, don’t even read them. Just ignore them.

What is your question?

*Sadly, we had to bring back ads too. Hopefully more targeted.
