How According to Albert Einstein Time is 4 th Dimension ?
Basically a dimension is what you need to define where a point in space is. So if I say ‘there’s a point in space right now that’s 3m up, 2m across and 0m in/out’ that should tell you exactly where to find the point right now, if you know where I have defined to be (0,0,0) The problem is that the speed of light is a constant RELATIVE TO THE OBSERVER. This means that, if you travel at a speed a significant fraction of the speed of light, time will slow down for you relative to someone who is defined as stationary. This means that we need 4 bits of information (hence 4 dimensions) to describe exactly where a point is. Even if we take the time to be ’12pm’, that time will happen differently for different individuals travelling at different speeds. Therefore I should say ‘there’s a point in space right now that’s 3m up, 2m across and 0m in/out at time 12pm’, but you will only know exactly where the point is if you know what I’ve defined to be my starting position and my starting time.
